Registration Requirements: All bidders must register with a valid ID (state or federal). Those bidding on behalf of business entities must present proper authorization documentation.
Bidding Process: Bids will be based on oral auction. The minimum bid covers delinquent taxes as of the judgment date, while the winning bidder is responsible for taxes incurred afterward.
Payment: Successful bidders must submit a cashier’s check to Williamson County on the auction day. Failure to pay may result in liability for 20% of the property’s value plus costs.
Deed and Title: Properties are sold as-is through a Constable’s Deed, without warranty. Title insurance may be difficult to obtain, and buyers are responsible for confirming property details.
Right of Redemption: Texas law allows for a redemption period after purchase—2 years for homestead/agricultural properties, and 180 days for other properties. Redemption may involve an additional premium.
